Terrible service by Sharp service centre! Bought a 70" TV from Audio House 1 year ago and it just went blank after update! Customer service can only send a technician to check after 5 days upon appointment! Even with a 3 years warranty! Wrong decision to buy Sharp product!
Bought a washer+dryer in March 2022, Sep 2022 started giving problems. Technician came 3 times before they resolved the problem. Sep 2023 it started to break down again. Technician unable to 100% resolve it. Despite 2 yrs warranty I was told to replace the drum at my cost!!! Even that they could not guarantee the problem can be resolved. Wrote to Sharp Singapore but no response!!! This will be my last purchase of any Sharp products.
Recently contact SHARP Service Center for my fridge issue. Their staff had warmly serve me with hospitality and solve my problem in few working day. A very big thank you to SHARP service center especially Ms Cathryn.
I’ve not bought Sharp products before so when considering their products, I saw the good reviews here and decided to buy them. Very pleased with the quality of the products, sleek modern designs and affordable price point.
(Regarding the voucher issue in previous review, I’m not sure if the store provided the right info to him/her. The place I bought from gave me clear instructions on filling in the redemption form and contacting the number on it. However, the new redemption company seemed to have just taken over so they are quite lost too. They just told us to wait patiently.)
I would like to share my most recent POOR experiences with SHARP.
On the 23rd August 2023, SHARP technician came down to my home and examined my washing machine and I was informed that the washing machine needed to be brought back to the service centre for further repair.
On the 30th Aug 2023, SHARP personnel came down to collect the washing machine back to the service centre.
On the 11th Sep 2023, the washing machine was sent back to my home but was unable to operate. The washing machine was vibrating very loudly and unable to properly function and was brought back again to the service centre.
And on the 15th Sep 2023, was told by the service centre that they would like to arrange a date to send the washing back to my home.
1. I inquired with the SHARP service center regarding the reason they returned the washing machine to me on September 11, 2023, even though it was evidently proven not properly fixed at my home. SHARP's staff claimed that the washing machine had no problems and instead the problem lies with my house's power plug. How could the washing machine vibrate so loudly if the power plug was the problem? I questioned them about why the issue wasn't resolved on that day itself and why the machine was sent back to the service center instead. SHARP's staff conveniently shifted the blame, stating that the delivery personnel were solely responsible for delivery and had no knowledge of the washing machine's condition. In conclusion, either the washing machine was already severely faulty and not possible to repair, or it was not properly repaired before being returned to my home. SHARP's behavior in deflecting responsibility in this manner was highly unprofessional.
2. I purchased a premium washing machine valued at approximately 1000SGD, and it's disheartening to see that it malfunctioned in just under 1 year and 6 months of use. If this is the level of durability one can expect from a high-end washing machine, why would anyone opt for such a costly product? Is SHARP indirectly telling customers that they should opt for inexpensive washing machines, as there seems to be no significant advantage in terms of longevity?
3. The frequency of delivering the washing machine into my home increases the likelihood of it getting knocked or damaged during the delivery process. I can understand that the first time it had to be sent back to the service center, and I accepted the delivery risk at that point. However, what about the 2nd time it was returned to their service center on 11 Sep 2023? It's evident that it wasn't my fault that SHARP failed to fully repair the washing machine. So, why should I be responsible for the delivery risk once again? Is it reasonable for the customer to shoulder all this unexpected delivery risk when it was neither necessary nor my fault in the first place?
4. It's been a month now without a working washing machine at home. I'm puzzled as to why they couldn't have collected it back on 23 Aug 2023, and instead, I had to sacrifice another day of annual leave for them to come and collect it on 30 Aug 2023. Their time management in collecting and repairing the machine was extremely poor, resulting in additional days of inconvenience for customers without a functioning washing machine. The delivery on 11 Sep 2023, was also a waste of my time, adding an extra week of inconvenience without the washing machine as well.
To be fair, if everything had been working correctly during the return visit on 11 Sep 2023, I would have been satisfied with the repaired washing machine. However, the fact that it had to be sent back to the service center multiple times indicates that the washing machine's durability may be questionable. Is it reasonable for a customer to accept a flawed product that requires continuous repairs? It's difficult to believe that a reputable company like SHARP would exhibit such poor repair skills and business ethics.
Would NOT recommend SHARP to anyone unless you have lot's of time to deal with their irresponsible service issues
Extremely poor quality. Washing machine break down 3 times, and the technician was unable to fix the problem. I am still waiting for their response. Please avoid if you need to wash your clothes on time.
Just bought SHARP SJ-FX660S2-BK. It is very spacious and we like it so much. High recommended by Wei Feng of Courts Mega Store which we cannot agree more with him and have no regret at all with this purchase. The delivery was a breeze and both the delivery staff Azman and Aziz were highly professional and very careful to ensure no damage to our brand new fridge.
